I've registered, so how long does it take to recieve my confirmation email?
The confirmation email is virtually instantaneous. If you haven't received it, it may be because you have entered it incorrectly, or it is being stopped by some form of anti-spam protection. If you think there may be a problem, please send an email to accounts@imposeonline.com with your first and last name, and the email address you used to register, and we will activate your account manually.
What happens to my uploaded pdf file after it is imposed?
Your original pdf file is automatically deleted from our system as soon as it is imposed. Your imposed pdf is deleted 24 hours after you impose it. This provides ample opportunity for you to download the file before it is deleted. We do not provide a backup service, so please don't ask us to retrieve one of your uploaded files if you accidentally delete it.
Why doesn’t Impose online have the imposition layout I need?
Impose online is a new service. We will be adding imposition layouts and extra features over time. If you have a particular layout or feature that you require, visit our contacts page and let us know. We are very keen to build the best possible service for you.
Why do I get an “Incompatible PDF version” error when I upload my pdf?
Impose online does not accept some pdfs later than version 1.4 (Acrobat version 5). You can re-save pdfs from newer versions into 1.4 with Adobe Acrobat Professional for use with Impose online.
I have a fast internet connection—why is it so slow to upload my pdf?
Many home broadband internet connections have very fast download speeds, but quite slow upload speeds. This is because downloading is typically the most common transfer direction. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this as we can't control the speed of your internet connection. A 20Mb file can take over 10 minutes on a standard 256kb/s connection.
How much will it cost for me to use Impose online?
At this time, Impose online is a free service, but this is an introductory offer. Once we are completely happy with the service we are providing, we will start charging a subscription fee for use of this service. For casual users, there will be a limited number of free impositons allowed each month, but once that limit has been reached, it will be necessary to pay for a subscription, or wait until the start of the next month. Pricing has not yet been finalised.
How will I pay for my impositions?
Subscriptions will be available (either recurring or non-recurring) via PayPal.
